Born so that everyone can listen to the city

This page exists because of a simple need: a person who cannot see should still be able to know Miami’s week, understand it and enjoy it. So we built the spoken mirror of our cartelera. Everything the listing shows, this show says out loud: the artist, the day, the time and the place. It was made for them first, and it is for everyone in the moments when eyes are busy or resting: driving, falling asleep, waiting at the doctor’s office, or simply not wanting to look at a phone. Press play, and the city tells you its week.

Behind The Scenes Miami publishes the cartelera every week. This show follows it, episode by episode, in the same order and with the same curation. If it is not in the cartelera, it is not in the show.

GEMS 2026 is the fall festival of the Miami Film Festival, and this episode is our deep breath inside it: what the festival is, how it changes the temperature of the city, and how to do it like a local, one film a day, arriving early and letting the night continue after the credits. GEMS runs through November 5, and Behind The Scenes Miami is a media partner of the festival.

MIA reads the week the way the listing is built, in its own order, and says everything the card shows, because the listener has no picture in front of them.
